Role Summary: As our new Sr Product Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influence across executive leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to build GE Digital’s Predix Application portfolio strategy.
You will be a key member of the Application portfolio strategy team focusing on:
Guiding Predix Application leadership on market opportunity discovery, portfolio capability development, assessing market landscape and emerging trends and GED’s product-market fit dynamics.
Iteratively arriving at market and application strategy hypotheses, and related tasks.
Identifying additional product / market opportunities. Perform market research to come up with potential market hypothesis (TAM, SAM, SOM and related)
Communicating throughout the strategy development process with Application leaders as well as GE internal partners (Product Team, Business Development, Market, Analyst Relations teams) with a focus on market expansion
As a domain expert for application portfolio, you will engage GE Digital executive stakeholders and customers at mid-level management and technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer & industry direction and execute strategy.
As the Sr Product Strategy Manager, you will elevate how we engage with internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for creation of executable strategy of products from GE Digital, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.
In this role you will:
Drive vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions.
Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide and mentor teams, and establish/refine product management processes.
Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners, customers and technical experts across industries and geographies.
Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community.
Global travel required as necessary.
Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.
Responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers.
Will engage customers as a trusted partner.
Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 8-10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
