Role Summary:
The Project Specialist will serve as the liaison between the customer and / or sales representative and the organization for custom product requirements. They will be responsible for cross-functional communication and task monitoring, as well as handling client inquiries. They will ensure that product specifications meet customer needs while adhering to internal capabilities.

Essential Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
• Assure GE Healthcare/HyClone customers receive world class service regarding the logistical aspects of custom made products
• Manage custom media and sera projects from inquiry to order
o Liaison between organization and customer to assure appropriate communication regarding customer expectations
o Coordinate internal resources to best meet customer’s needs
o Schedule teleconferences and on-site meetings
• Submit product specifications to customers for approval, follow up on approvals and facilitate internal implementation once approval is received
• Answer customer, sales representative, and account support questions relating to custom
product specifications
• Manage custom product specification revisions and required customer approvals
• Facilitate and support special production requests for custom products, including customer requested temporary changes from approved specifications
• Represent Custom Product Team for customer product failure investigations
• Present Contract Review and Change Notification standard operating procedures to customers during on-site facility audits
• Facilitate incoming customer serum specification review / comparison with GE Healthcare/HyClone standard products
• Assist in answering technical inquiries and review / complete technical product surveys
• Support and participate in continuous improvement projects and implement routine ideas
• Other activities as directed by management

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality
Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible

Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in Customer Support role utilizing phone, e-mail and web-based systems
- Demonstrated excellence in customer management Skills
- Strong computer hardware skills and proficient Microsoft Windows/ Office Knowledge
- Effective interpersonal and communication Skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently interact with all departments
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision
- Personal creativity and problem solving skills
- Ability to handle stress related situations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently

Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Degree in Business and/or Science-related field
- Minimum 5 years industry experience
