Role Summary:
The Services Operations & Training Manager is responsible to maintain the operating standards for the five segments of the field services businesses and drive continuous improvement to the business’ ability to execute. This position is responsible for staffing, planning and training a GE and variable work force of approximately 200 people, including long term planning for business headcount and resource needs, oversight of vendor cost, performance, relationship and diversity.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Services Operations & Training Manager you will:

  • Maintain operational standards across the Digital Solutions for field and shop execution
  • Ensure all assignments are staffed with trained and qualified individuals
  • Own long-term planning for field service and shop headcount and resource needs
  • Coordinate with Services Business Leaders to develop strategy and provide oversight of variable workforce providers
  • Drive continuous services operational improvement through use of LAWO, IT Simplification, New Technology implementation

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance operations or field services team leadership role

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to obtain or possess a passport
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support field services operations

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Self-starter and highly organized administrative skills
  • Six Sigma Green Belt training is preferred
  • Field Engineering Program (FEP) graduate preferred (GE Employees only)
  • Knowledge of GE systems products, services, and processes including ServiceMax or other staffing programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Previous staffing and/or training experience
