The Sr. Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing market, competitive and customer intelligence insights and programs in support of the Predix product marketing, direct sales, and product development teams. This role will work with both internal and external stakeholders to gather the information to support go-to-market strategy and field execution.
Provide actionable, fact-based market intelligence and insight that improves the organizational effectiveness around Predix
Collaborate with GE Digital marketing to develop and automate processes, procedures and policies to improve market data gathering, analysis and intelligence dissemination
Develop surveys, interviews, focus group guides and usability studies that can be conducted with either external partners or internal constituents
Select vendors and manage projects outsourced to third-party suppliers of primary and secondary research
Analyze, and package quantitative and qualitative information for distribution to sales, industry analysts, GE employees, etc.
Conduct market sizing/opportunity studies to identify new growth markets and segments. Serve as a strategic advisor for stakeholders who rely on market intelligence for decision making
Establish “early warning” system for key stakeholders that identifies new market forces, new regulations and competitive landscape changes
Develop mechanisms to deliver information, including comparison grids, competitive battlecards/profiles/snapshots and dashboards
Work with GE Digital marketing to develop and maintain a regular “MI bulletin” with specific takeaways, KPIs and metrics for executives; and adopt and institutionalize standard analysis and assessment models
Provide competitive intelligence hotline capabilities, battle cards or “competitive assassins” to assist sales resources
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics or related discipline required; MBA preferred. Or equivalent experience.
5+ years primary/syndicated research, data analytics, modeling, due diligence and reporting experience in a B2B software environment.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA
Detail-oriented, focused on data, with an analytic mindset.
Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Ability to communicate findings clearly
Ability to size and prioritize market opportunities and build business cases
Bias towards action, strong background in knowledge management and monitoring market landscape as it pertains to strategic product marketing decisions
Experience in the technology industry (ideally analyzing IoT PaaS/SaaS providers)
