The GE Predix Digital Twin team is looking for a full stack Staff Software engineer to help build the next generation machine learning platforms and applications. We are looking for smart, enthusiastic, and friendly technologists to design, implement, support, and grow the tools our developers and customers use nearly every minute of their day.
In this role, you will:
Work with product leaders to understand requirements and vision
Collaborate with colleagues from Product, Data Science and Architecture groups to distill system requirements and socialize designs.
Engage with your peers to build the best possible product through regular code review, technical whiteboard, and design sessions
Own product level features and deliver awesome code with speed and quality
Create robust APIs that expose cutting-edge machine learning capabilities
Build intuitive tools for experts in the field to create production grade machine learning solutions
Evaluate new technologies and methods that would be useful to the team
Be a steward of standards and the state of the art for your colleagues and team members
Establish trust across the organization and grow into an inspiring leader in the domain of machine learning
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SW Development and protocols OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in SW Development and protocols
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Redmond, WA
Must be willing to travel (less than 10%)
Working knowledge of client side technologies like Angular.js
Hands on experience in crafting, implementing, and operating web-scale distributed systems
Previous experience with Platforms as a Service (PaaS) such as Cloud Foundry or Heroku or OpenShift
Background or professional experience in statistical methods, analytics, or machine learning
Demonstrated problem solving abilities and capacity to execute with limited information and ambiguous problem definitions.
