Role Summary: This position that resides within the CMC Digital Team and will be responsible for executing the visualization strategy for the CMC business. In this role, you will be responsible for all reporting and complex visualizations development including the maintenance of these applications (currently Tibco Spotfire). In addition, you will also be responsible for owning and maintaining the CMC Digital website.
In addition you will :
Design aesthetically appealing and informative visualizations through collection of business requirements and user stories for internal or external stakeholders
Create standard and custom visualizations that meet customer demands while ensuring data validity, statistical integrity, and maximizing user experience
Work with engineering, manufacturing and business teams to determine sources of needed data
Work with Analytics team to incorporate advanced statistical and data science models directly into data visualizations
Demonstrate visualizations directly with business partners for feedback and quick iterations using a mix of tools such as Tibco, Spotfire, and Tableau
Develop data visualization strategies, standards, and best practices
Responsible for user access maintenance, tool updates, and working with IT support team to ensure up-time of applications and visualizations
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering, IT, or Data Analytics from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of Data Visualization experience in a modern Data Viz tool such as Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc. (including experience with data architecture and data engineering principles)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to construct user stories and perform feature extraction from complex or vague requirements
Exposure to analytics packages in Python, R, Spark / MLlib
Exposure to big data platforms, ETL, and visualization tools
Experience in developing analytics, preferably using R or Python statistical packages
Familiarity with MapReduce and Spark principles
Hands-on proficiency in SQL
Experience with data architecture and data engineering principles
Working knowledge of Hadoop and Greenplum data lake ecosystems
