Role Summary: The Global Operations Tax Team is a component of the Global Operations Finance Europe organisation. The Team is in charge to create CIT reports & returns, according to 31 Countries’ accounting principles for GE’s legal entities.
Be a stakeholder of the migration of the Income Tax process from Corporate Tax / Business to Global Ops Finance Support migration of Income Tax preparation
Prepare draft income tax provisions and draft income tax returns across a European country or group of countries
Ensure correctness of the income tax calculations / returns by identifying potential errors, proposing and recording corrections
Identify opportunities and drive projects to improve Income Tax processes
Support the country Income Tax team in cases of Income Tax
Prepare the monthly /quarterly ASC 740 process, including use of tax provisioning tools, preparation and review of quarterly ETR’s and assist Corporate Tax Teams, Business Tax Teams and Global Tax Controller with quarterly reporting requirements such as balance sheet analysis
Examine and evaluate deferred tax and current tax payable balances in accordance with GE GAP and GE MAP.
Review and analyze tax reserves.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting
Written and verbal fluency in English
Significant income tax experience in major accounting firm or large multinational company
Strong expertise in current and deferred income tax accounting processes and income tax compliance within Europe
Strong analytical skills & ability to discuss technical issues with local/regional business stakeholders
Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
Local tax qualification
Additional foreign European language skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects
