Role Summary:
The Sr. Product Manager RC – AJAX will be responsible for driving sales, orders, market share, profitability and product competitiveness of a $300M+ revenue portfolio of products and services. The Sr. Product Manager RC - AJAX reports to the Product Leader, Reciprocating Compression and will be responsible for the AJAX new units and services growth in the Oil & Gas market segment.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Sr. Product Manager RC – AJAX, you will:

  • Define a global engines and aftermarket product line strategy; ensure the growth and profitability of the product offerings by driving competitiveness and product quality. Key products serve the Natural Gas Gathering and Gas Gathering markets
  • Provide New Product Introduction (NPI) ownership: Review market analysis and identification and quantification of market needs, required new products, services or features, required investment and Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Be responsible for strategy and execution of the AJAX product roadmaps
  • Drive pricing and commercial strategies to maximize margin expansion
  • Champion and launch an aggressive cost out strategy to enable product competitiveness
  • Develop and launch new AJAX upgrade products for the installed base, closely working with the services team
  • Manage thru a matrix environment of functional experts and own global expansion plans for product strategy with channels and direct sales
  • Lead business development activity for the product lines
  • Lead special projects and events to identify and execute action plans to improve commercialization processes
  • Ensure customer focus by communicating and building a rapport with customers as required and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is reflected in programs and business processes
  • Provide product team leadership during annual business planning activities processes

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in JAX product line and/or Engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Minimum 2 years of internal combustion engine experience

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited college or university
  • In-depth understanding of emissions compliance standards as they apply to the Natural gas compression industry and the associated technologies to meet these requirements
  • Knowledge of the Natural Gas Transmission, Process. Production and Gathering market demands
  • Strong understanding of 2-stroke Natural Gas engines, turbocharger and emissions after treatment technologies
  • Understanding of NSPS severe non-attainment emissions regulations
  • Strong analytical and statistical data driven skills
  • Able to develop and present business cases, cost / benefit analysis, economic modeling, and resourcing plans
  • Able to understand and translate customer needs into sales strategies & plans
  • Strong communication skills and cross functional breadth to provide strong leadership and direction to product teams
  • Able to energize teams at all levels of the organization and effectively balance multiple initiatives
  • High energy, assertiveness, and self-motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to market dynamics and competitor activities
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and operational execution
  • Strategic thinker and change agent with demonstrated influencing skills in a global environment
  • Proven ability to produce results, set operating plans and objectives through action plans
  • Demonstrated decisiveness as evidenced by the ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy
  • Adaptable and open to change in response to unexpected circumstances and or in working in ambiguous situations
