Role Summary: Demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization. Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Surface Completions Engineer you will:
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, scheduling, and contract commitments
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program review
Bachelor’ s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of API 6A surface wellhead and/or flow control products (gate valves, actuators, and chokes)
Knowledge of applicable industry specifications such as API 6A, NACE MR0175, ASME Section VIII, etc.
Experience with 3D CAD Modeling software and computational tools
Successful project execution history
Proven track record of teaching and mentoring engineers
Demonstrated ability to work across functions to solve complex technical problems
Experience with IOC, NOC, and major oil companies’ production and hydraulic fracturing specifications
Participation in Industry groups such as API Committees or AWHEM task group
Pro/E and Mathcad experience
Product support, services, or field service experience
Project management experience
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with cross-functional experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
An understanding of Six Sigma tools to make data-based recommendations and decisions
Ability to successfully work in a team environment
