The site at Zipf is specialized in diagnostic ultrasound systems and world market leader in 3D/ 4D ultrasound and is global "Center of Excellence" within the GE Healthcare Group.

Role Summary:
In this position, you are working in a team which is responsible for calculation and measurement of ultrasound field parameters. These calculations and measurements are used for safe limitation of acoustic output power.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Integration of new ultrasound probes into an Acoustic Power Control system
  • Enhance measurement software for acoustic and thermal measurements
  • Drive new measurement technologies
  • Improve measurement processes
  • Working within the acoustic engineering team with strong collaboration to other departments
  • Quality and safety relevant work
  • Support permits in compliance with relevant regulatory agencies

    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Bachelors/master’s degree (or equivalent) in Informatics, Physics, Medical Engineering (or similar) or HTL with some work experience in programming
    • Fundamental knowledge regarding software development Significant experience in C/C++ and matlab programming
      Strong analytic and problem solving skills
    • Good oral and written communication skills in German and English


    Collective Agreement provides a minimum gross salary of € 2.627.24/month.
