Role Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Architect, who will focus on delivering Encryption and Key Management, and Identity and Access Management solutions. In this role you will work in a team to design, develop and deliver Encryption and Key Management solutions and Identity and Access Management solution for GE Predix platform. You will partner with cross-business teams to define solution requirements, develop and deliver solutions, and drive process and technology improvements.

Essential Responsibilities:

You are a skilled Systems architect who enjoys security work and is an expert in systems security, applications security, identity management, cryptography, or network security .In this role, you will be building the security platforms and integrating with stakeholders and customer solutions.

In this role you will:

  • Develop Key Management infrastructure
  • Develop Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Develop approaches to address the implementation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions as part of enterprise security services including mobile devices
  • Implement Privilege Identity Management solution
  • Integrate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) solution
  • Lead integration of solutions into platform applications
  • Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security focused tools and services including project leadership roles
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies
  • Participate in security compliance efforts

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree or higher in Computer Engineering or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years IT experience
  • Minimum of 3 years IT experience with working with a PKI or Key Management and IAM solution

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel 15%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Hands-on experience of architecture design, implementation, and operationally supporting Azure identity solution / Key vault services using Azure / cloud design patterns.
  • Demonstrated hands-on Solaris, Linux, and Windows operating system experience and detailed working knowledge of operating systems required
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with data encryption solutions; including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, including; Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), TLS, AES, java encryption libraries, Encrypting File System (EFS), storage encryption.
  • Understanding and knowledge of PKI and digital certificates

    Technical Expertise:

  • A general understanding of supporting technologies including SAML, OpenID Connect, HTTP, XML, LDAP, SQL, XACML, KMIP, PKIX, PKCS, SSL, and TLS standards
  • Experience with IAM solutions like Ping Identity, Siteminder, Attribute Exchange Network, Encryption solution and PKI infrastructure like HSM, KMS, and have worked with cloud / web-based applications and/or web services-based applications, especially at large scale
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable of the UNIX / Linux and JBoss environments and have experience in the Windows / Active Directory environment
  • Demonstrated experience in IT Security, system administration, LDAP, and scripting

    Business Acumen:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Agile Management

    Leadership:

  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative team environment, encouraging input and participation from all members
  • Worked on a global team and knowledgeable about EU data privacy and policy compliance.
