Role Summary: Responsible for translating customer needs into training solutions for GI Ultrasound. Works closely with modality product development teams, field leaders, and end-user customers to develop and deliver technical/clinical education courses that meet customer needs. Provides support during the educational process on eqpt use/clinical features at GEHC training events. Assists with trade show and professional conferences, as well as clinical product trial and new product introduction activities.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Lead the definition and implementation of a national external customer and internal team training strategy and curriculum in conjunction with the field leaders and upstream modality teams. 2. May mentor others and preparing or monitor individual training content to address training development needs for internal field teams, with input from field leaders. 3. Develop and maintain a "New Hire" education program for new employees. 4. Work in a team environment to design education courses for GE customers and internal field teams, ensuring that course requirements and operational targets/metrics are met and that course development and delivery is completed on time and within budget. 5. Develop, maintain, and deliver key lectures at education events and training meetings on GEHC products and current and emerging clinical applications/technical content. 6. Develop, coordinate, and deliver product training content for external customers or internal field team member training events. 7. May facilitate and manage in-house hands-on sessions, remote sessions at the customer, and virtual lab experiences and supporting processes. 8. Work with internal field team feedback and evaluate customer surveys to gain insight for future educational offerings and ensure training Critical to Quality metrics are met. 9. Consult and assist as subject matter expert/instructional designer in developing alternative training materials and methods (e.g., webcasts), focusing on market trends in order to maintain GE's leadership in the educational arena. 10. Support national and local trade shows and professional conferences, from an educator’s perspective as well as a product demonstrator when needed. 11. Assist as training leader in clinical trials/new product introductions with a focus on collecting training and educational data as well as marketing images/clinical information to deliver to customers and field teams. 12. Utilize market and product knowledge to collaborate with sales and marketing teams in developing go-to-market materials and customer service strategies.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. 3. Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization. 4. Ensure completion of all field modifications instructions (FMI’s) within prescribed timeframe. 7. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible. 1. Minimum of four years clinical experience following certification, with demonstrated skill in specific areas (i.e., for Ultrasound - General Imaging, Vascular, Ob/Gyn, Cardiology Sonography); or minimum two years commercial applications experience with demonstrated successes in high level customer interactions and sales scenario. 2. Active clinical certification/registries required to scan live patients in a clinical setting (i.e., for Ultrasound: RDMS registry - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, RDCS registry – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RCS registry - Registered Cardiac Sonographer). 3. Demonstrated basic clinical scanning proficiencies (i.e., for Ultrasound: Skilled in 2D, Doppler and color flow imaging). 4. Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products. 5. Willing to travel extensively within specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography and business needs as well as to nationwide sales meetings and tradeshows. 6. Demonstrated successful experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales and service process. 7. Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the role is located without sponsorship. 8. Ability to communicate effectively using local language.
Desired Characteristics: 1. Experience in instructional design process producing and implementing a full training program to including web casting and/or internet functions. 2. Advanced certification/registries desired (for Ultrasound: RVT, RVS, RDCS, RCS). 3. Demonstrated advanced clinical scanning skills (for Ultrasound: Skilled in vascular sonography, pediatric cardiac echo & TEE desired). 4. Experience on all current GE products for which responsibilities cover. 5. Experience within GE Clinical Applications or Clinical Marketing roles. 6. Strong presentation skills, with public speaking and lecture experience. 7. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) to external customers, global counterparts, and to team members in other functional organizations). 8. Solid problem solving skills. 9. Ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues, and propose solutions. 10. Proven professional business acumen. 11. Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process 12. Self-motivated and willing to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve. 13. Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time. 14. Willing to be flexible and adapt to changing work environments. 15. Clinical experience in large hospital or university setting.
