Role Summary:
Project Manager will be focused on strategic programs for the GE Transportation business digital transformation (ie. Cloud, Predix, Digital Thread). Candidate should possess a strong project and program management background with a track record of global execution and communication. Coordinates with Shared Services teams as well as CIO teams for execution of initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. This role has the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals. In addition you will:

  • Serve as the Technical Project Manager for project and program management including communications
  • Be a Change Agent for infrastructure digital transformation activities – owns idea generation, change acceleration process (CAP), influencing and project execution
  • Evaluate new and emerging technologies that will transform technology usage within our business environment
  • Interface directly with functional leadership, key stakeholders, and corporate teams working as a business partner to evaluate, simplify, and improve business processes. This includes providing clear plans, program deck status and leadership communication
  • Manage budgets and contracts associated with projects
  • Leads project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the projects
  • Ensure conformance to GE infrastructure technology standards and best practices
  • Identify critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences business leaders to maximize project payback
  • Be a leader helping to drive the GE IT vision and be a key contributor toward delivering upon the GE IT Strategic Imperatives (Simplification, Supporting Growth, Employee Experience, and Cyber Security)
  • Act as a change agent for the organization by leveraging Lean Six Sigma and FastWorks practices to maximize results measured by performance and availability, business agility, technology freshness, and cost optimization


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year university/college with concentration in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
  • 3-5 additional years of experience with current information technologies and their implementation into the business function
  • Proven Project Management and Operational experience
  • Technical IT background
