Role Summary: Work strategically to improve physical and systematic changes in the material procurement and flow process by deploying APICS / Lean / Six Sigma methodology. Responsible for material process development and support globally for repair centers. This position allows candidate to work from home.
Essential Responsibilities: As the point person for the planning team, you will be responsible for: • Inventory management o Supplier material Stream o Minimum and Maximum Stocking levels performance and logic o Transactional Process Development and Support • Further developing and executing planning processes for material availability with high turns • Grow and develop planners inventory and purchasing knowledge and support their daily tasks and career • Lean manufacturing materials initiatives at Repair Operations Center (Oak Creek) and globally • Establishing and maintaining a teamwork environment with Sourcing and Engineering • Implement strategic initiatives such as VMI, Supplier Consolidation, lead time reductions. • Work with sourcing to identify top material supply risks and foster positive supplier relationships. • Support Global Materials Managers with direct materials, loaners, forecasts and global PSI roll up. • Work closely with the Global Sourcing team to optimize supplier forecast for all Global repair centers. • Work with new transfer leaders and local materials managers to accelerate the procurement of direct and indirect materials in accordance with repair center start up timelines. • Develop SOP’s and Work Instructions to facilitate standard process as well as leverage and develop offshore teams for repetitive reporting and procurement tasks
Qualifications/Requirements: Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Knowledge and understanding of production process work instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications 5. Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs
Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree and 4 years supply chain experience or HS diploma and 10 years supply chain experience 2. Oracle knowledge and experience 3. Lean Manufacturing Experience 4. Proven ability to drive change initiatives in a matrix environment 5. Ability to successfully motivate and maintain employee involvement while driving change
