Role Summary:
The stress engineer is an experienced engineer with knowledge of piping structural requirements, associated codes and standard, analysis techniques and applies for the design of piping parts in a power plant.

Essential Responsibilities:
 Perform stress analysis of piping systems for power plants as per codal requirements
 Coordinate with other engineering activities (internal / external) with respect to interfaces for stress analysis
 Prepare substantiation documents viz stress reports, interface load datasheets, pipe support load lists, etc
 Ensure proper supporting concept for piping systems
 Ensure the design is compliant with codes and standards and with company rules
 Conduct design reviews and design freeze for piping and support designs.

 Bachelor of engineering (mechanical)
 good knowledge of PDMS/E3D, Rohr2
 7 – 8 years’ experience in piping stress analysis for Power piping
 Experience with seismic and pressure hammer calculations
 Knowledge about power plant and/or steam turbine design

 English language skills
 Site experience
 FEM software (Catia, ANSYS, etc)
