Role Summary: The Industrial Manufacturing Painter will set up paint jobs from start to finish which includes washing, masking, bead blasting and painting. To ensure that all paint finishes meet or exceeds the customer's requirements and that all hazardous materials are handled properly at all times. This Painter position is for 2nd shift. The hours are Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Industrial Manufacturing Painter, you will:
Mix and apply specified types of paint and makes making required adjustments to achieve a quality paint job
Touch-up where needed to correct any faults
Maintain the painting equipment and area
Prep the materials to be painted by taping, washing, or using other approved methods
Maintain the inventory of paint equipment and notifies Supervisor of shortages
Observe all environmental, health and safety rules
Maintain regulatory environmental records
Ensure proper operation of Neutralization System and Paint Booth
Own the operation of bead and shot blasting equipment
Own the assembly of components and equipment
Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Utilize a Hoist / Crane and Forklift to position equipment for paint / blast
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 2 years of job experience with paint application in an industrial or commercial environment (OR minimum of 1 year of Technical School)
Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes, and respirator
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift hours (Monday - Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
Bead / Shot Blasting Experience
Hoist / Crane Experience
Experience with surface preparation systems
Basic computer skills
