Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.
Attend technical/commercial meeting to present the technology and/or feasibility studies to influence and guide
customers/engineers decisions in the phase before the issue of the official Request for Quotation (RFQ), considering the
market and competitors scenario
Perform a detailed screening of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in collaboration with Business Sales Manager aimed to
assist management during the BID-NO BID decision process
Read and analyze customer technical and commercial requisition / bidding documents, identify and plan the list of
activities to be performed in order to prepare the proposal package in the given time frame
Elaborate a proposal budget to discuss and agree with the Tendering Director
Arrange proposal project kick-off meeting
Elaborate in close cooperation with Technology Manager the proposal project design philosophy
Elaborate and execute in close cooperation with the Business Sales Manager, the Tendering Director Head , the
Technology Manager, the Sourcing Manager, the proposal project Technical and Commercial strategy
Be point of Interface between the proposal team and Business Sales Manager during project proposal preparation for clarifications request and communications in general
Assist and coordinate attendance to site surveys and meeting with Customer/Consultants in general Participate and
coordinate the bid “clarification” phase with the customer, negotiating all technical/commercial related issues in
coordination with Sales in order to increase the likelihood of winning the contract
Prepare and participate with Business Sales Manager to proposal project Gate Reviews
Monitor proposal project activities, update and distribute proposal project plan
Arrange periodical status and coordination meeting with the proposal team
Analyze and present to management possible risk related to the specific bid and actions to prevent/mitigate the identified
risks. Prepare the documentation and fill out the RLF(Risk Log File) in coordination with Business Sales Manager and
present the project to Business Risk Director and Business Management . Implement outcomes into the proposal project
Schedule, prepare and lead the design review in close cooperation Technology Manager and Engineering Manager
Schedule, prepare and lead the constructability review in close cooperation Construction Manager and Engineering
Schedule, prepare and lead the cost review in close cooperation with the Cost Estimator
Interface with sourcing to ensure the sourcing strategy is implemented
Interface with Discipline leaders and Functional Manager to estimate the project man-hours
Transfer to execution the technical/commercial content of the bid after contract is signed in order to ensure a timely and
consistent project kick-off
Coach and train to develop dedicated and committed individuals with empowerment and responsibility to actively
contribute to the winning of profitable business
Participate in the development of proposal working tools to improve the effectiveness of the proposal process
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Minimum of Ten years experience in the power/industry
Experience of handling multiple turnkey tenders with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
Experience with the complete proposal process from start to completion.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.Knowledge of APC equipment and components for the Power /Industrial market, knowledge of contract T&Cs, risk
management, knowledge of customers, management of a team & computer skills.
