Role Summary:
Drive Execution of the allocated Project(s) scope to maximize the results of the Project(s) with respect to Factory recovery target, whilst delivering the Project on time, in conformity with the Contract and managing the Customer expectations.

Essential Responsibilities:
Accountabilities:

Responsible for project planning and scheduling of project execution deliverables reflecting the designated scope and level of detail for contract execution through close out.
Responsible for establishment of schedules, monitoring of performance compared to schedule commitments, proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and recommendation of actions to drive on-time performance.
Ensure delivery of material on time for the factory production schedule
Responsible for ensuring timely reporting to execution centre

Responsibilities

 Develop the contract-stage (L3) schedule for all awarded projects based on the contract project schedule, project strategy and based on contract requirements reflecting the designated level of detail for all functional execution deliverables.
 Is responsible for integration of engineering, procurement and manufacturing schedules into the overall project schedule, and manage the schedule interface with internal partners, the customer, and, if applicable, consortium external partners.
 Provide timely updating of contract schedules through project execution,Keep an as-built schedule depicting a comparison of the original baseline versus the actual execution identifying project specific reasons for contractually sensitive deviations.
 Analyse schedule performance compared to the established project plan using critical path analysis method (CPM) and float management, with a focus on early identification of risks and opportunities to facilitate proactive actions that will optimise on-time performance of internal and subcontracted deliverables. Advise OM Leader and other functional Project Team members of status and recommended strategies to respond to identified risks and opportunities.
 Track and report schedule performance with an integrated view of hours expended to-date and forecasted hours to complete compared to budget/plan. Prepare schedule and progress reports as per contract and internal requirements. Report deviation against baseline in view of protecting Project interest against potential claims.
 Participate in the establishment and maintenance of an integrated cross-project scheduling system that supports overall resource planning.
 Provide functional representation on project schedule matters with partners, suppliers and clients

• Ensure mechanism with sourcing to deliver material to shop as per plan
• On time delivery of components from Sanand factory
• Monitoring Cash-in and Rev rec targets
• Optimal Inventory planning

Market and Business Understanding: Good Knowledge of GE , other functional areas within the organisation, domestic environment . Moderate knowledge of the international environment

Qualifications/Requirements:
Graduate in Mechanical engineering, or similar qualification with 8-10 years of experience. Optional: Background in EPR/Project Management/Materials Planning

Knowledge / Experience
Mandatory:
5 years experience in Planning ,minimum of 2 year of experience in a Project environment with experience of interface with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing – supply scope
Knowledge in Planning software –PRIMAVERA and MS Project
Basic principles and practices of job planning, estimating and scheduling
Good knowledge of heavy fabrication and machining processes
Conversant with SAP or other equivalent ERP system
Well versed with MS-Office

Desired Characteristics:
Knowledge in Earned value management
Knowledge in Planning software –MS- Projects
Understanding of organizational and strategic planning process
Knowledge of Balance of Plants
