Role Summary:
The Delivery Managers have end-to-end responsibility for the Project Software Delivery with a focus on technical delivery and execution.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the context of SWS projects execution within the SwD organization

  • End-to-end responsibility on the Software Delivery part of projects to meet the schedule, cost and quality commitments. Project delivery organization and SwD teams coordination: Delivery Manager needs to manage / coordinate with Solution Engineering (including Factories) and Application Engineering teams
  • The Delivery Manager owns the project’s Delivery Model
  • Manage the relation with the Factories (VMs, DB&D): specifications and control of the deliverables
  • Project Execution control: WBS, activity tracking to update Project Manager on progress, detailed schedule update in coordination with PM
  • Share responsibility with PM, through close coordination, for scope management (change requests assessment), risk management and problem management
  • Manage and report SwD KPIs and work closely with PM to provide inputs for Projects KPIs
  • Trigger and validate engineering Gate Reviews (Solution, FAT Readiness, SAT Readiness)

In collaboration with Methods & Tools

  • Implement Quality Assurance processes within the project execution to improve quality of the delivery
  • Implement software delivery performance measurement indicators
  • Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement and change management to implement competitiveness improvement initiatives (costs base reduction, lead time reduction, productivity improvement, quality improvement…)

In collaboration with Region

  • Provide near real-time delivery status on project progress to the Delivery Manager team leader and Region Leader

In collaboration with Tendering

  • Validate the delivery model and estimations (SPLEC) in coordination with the Regional Operations team and the Global Workforce Manager
  • Validate the Scope review at Tendering stage in coordination with the Solution Design team

In collaboration with Maintenance & Support

  • Ensure a smooth transfer to maintenance of ending projects through coordinated knowledge transfer
    Customer Management
  • Delivery Manager may be requested by PM, who owns the Customer relationship, to contribute to Customer management activities. DM could if needed participate to project’s governance with Customer


  • Comply and contribute to elaboration of relevant Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes in Quality Management System
  • Report or resolve any process non-conformances in a timely manner

Health and Safety

  • Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented in their area of responsibility
  • Sets the example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observes work conditions
  • Actively participates in defining corrective actions when work is unsafe or when an uncontrolled risk is observed
  • Routinely observes routines and behaviors of others and provides immediate feedback regarding unsafe behavior and celebrates achievements or safe behaviors
  • Actively and routinely promotes the identification of hazards and near misses
  • Ensure that all staff have done their mandatory EHS training

    Performance Measurement

    • Customer Satisfaction [P-NPS]
    • On Time Delivery
    • Costs deviation + Committed budget (effort) deviation
    • Software Delivery Processes Compliance
    • Delivery model ratio (SOC ratio)
    • Lead/Lag measures w.r.t. delivery quality
    • Direct report staff satisfaction and retention


      • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in Services
      • Significant experience in Service Delivery
      • EU Work Permit

      Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.
