Role Summary:
The Intern will work in global group that oversees the global biopharma industry & provides application support in process development, consulting and/or training to the industry and academia. The position is in a highly dynamic group & provides many opportunities for individual career development. Applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents & training material, explaining complex information in a concise manner & work with scientific staff to ensure technical accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities:
Duties include (but are not limited to):

o Plan, research, develop, organize, write, edit training documents
o Work with internal teams and/or external experts to obtain an in-depth understanding of technology and documentation requirements
o Produce high quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
o Maintain comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
o Produce electronic documentation
o Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
o Maintain updates and revisions of technical literature/document
o Developing and maintaining relationships with the regional commercial and marketing teams, as well as the global Fast Trak and R&D organizations

Qualifications/Requirements:
o BS/BA degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical engineering or related Life Sciences field.
o Proven experience in technical writing, scientific journals and scientific articles in the field of Life sciences
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in the form of text and pictures
o Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to details. Able to write in explanatory and procedural style for multiple audiences with strong attention to details
o Strong working knowledge in MS office

Desired Characteristics:
o MS/PhD Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Life Sciences field
o Strong experience in protein purification (upstream, downstream, technology transfer, validation, process development, biomanufacturing) and protein characterization experience
o Deep scientific understanding of principles and theory behind unit operations for processing biologicals with knowledge in principles of scale up, validation, disposable, hybrid and traditional set ups and GMP manufacturing
o Industrial Scale Column Packing Experience
o Working knowledge of FDA/EMEA regulations for biologics (Phase I-III and manufacturing)
o Prior teaching and/or presenting scientific material experience would be highly desirable
o Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment
o Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationship with co-workers
o Multilingual
o Demonstrated good presentation skills
o Able to operate in a high pace environment with frequent changes
o Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
