Role Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance of machines, equipment and building (external/internal), landscaping, air-conditioning system, power supplies (electricity, water, and gases) and site projects.

Essential Responsibilities:
1.Set up an effective system of recording and monitoring of defects and breakdown reports in order to take the remedy and immediate actions to minimize shut down times.
2.Plan and control energy cost.
3. Plan, establish service contracts and define work scope.
4. Define and monitor a preventive maintenance program.
5. Ensure that the personnel working in this team has acquired the right skill, are given proper training and are updated with the latest method, procedures, and requirements.
6.Ensure that the personnel working under his supervision strictly adhere to all safety regulation.
7.Responsible for staff discipline in his area and the quality of work results.
8.Supervise external vendor maintenance and repair on facilities.
9.Ensure that the maintenance program is in accordance with the company, machinery department, Department of Environment and other relevant by-laws regulations and statutory requirements.
10.Maintain satisfactory working conditions and cleanliness.
11.Provide adequate instructions on company's policy and procedures.
12.Collaborate with the management in affecting changes in method, mode of remuneration or working conditions were found essential.
13.To make recommendations in respect of precaution against danger from accidents
14.To promote cooperative efforts and goodwill.
15.Assist and advise EHS & Facilities Manager where is applicable.
16.To comply to local and GE EHS Regulations at all times
17.Manage work request by arranging the manpower, material & schedule to ensure maximum equipment time
18.Source from vendors for spare parts and control maintenance cost & update on the maintenance expenses report
19.Update historical record card report when downtime occurs based on the work request form
20.Manage & coach a team of technicians to work efficiently & minimize downtime
21.Ensure workshop housekeeping is implemented in align with 5S standard
22.Carry out instruction from direct superior whichever that fits
23.Liaising with other engineering/contractors and production colleagues
24.Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
25.Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers(PLC)
26.Working together with other Facility Operation, Engineering and Project team in meeting departmental objectives.
27.To assist EHS department in executing work related to Facility maintenance (Example: Fire Alarm system)
28. To stop work when not sure and not safe and inform supervisor / engineer / Manager.
29. To ensure Stop work is carried out when unsafe work is carried out by anyone
30. To stop work when a defect is observed that will affect Quality of product or GE companies image is at stake
31.Develop and supervise a preventive maintenance program for all factory.
32.Plan schedule and execute the master time base maintenance schedule on mechanical equipment’s project work annual plant turn around and normal shut down in the plant and utilities area.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Must be experienced in building & equipments maintenance.
  • Should have manufacturing industry background.
  • Willing to standby on call for any issue arising from factory operation
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Experience in managing in-house projects and CAPEX submission.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and Maintenance Planning System (MPS) will be added advantage.
  • Require language(s): Bahasa Malaysia & English
  • Certification in Waste Water Treatment
  • Possess excellent project management skills including contractors and work quality and cost management;
