Role Summary: As the Maintenance Electrician, you will perform safety inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements of machine tools, cranes, welding and miscellaneous equipment throughout the facility.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Maintenance Electrician, you will:
Utilize computerized maintenance system to document repairs & preventative maintenance
Perform safety inspections of electrical cord, tools and equipment Install, troubleshoot and repair High Intensity Discharge(HID), fluorescent, LED, exit and emergency lighting systems and control devices
Bend, thread and install rigid metal conduit (RMC)
Bend, thread and install electrical metallic tubing (EMT)
Design and calculate branch circuit and feeder circuit designs (based on NEC)
Troubleshoot & repair electrical distribution system up to 600 volts AC
Install branch circuit and feeder circuit conductors
Repair electric hand tools and equipment
Use electrical testing equipment such as Meggars, Amp meters, Volt / Ohm meters
Bachelor’s Degree in an electrical and / or mechanical maintenance related fields from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 1-year of applied experience (OR High school Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and / or mechanical maintenance related fields) OR Technical Certificate from an accredited educational institution with a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical and / or mechanical maintenance related fields
Must have Journeymen or Master Electrician license
Minimum of 5 years experience troubleshooting and repairs power distribution systems, transformers, breakers, motors and control systems
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Journeymen or Master electrician
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to work any shift (This will primarily be a 2nd shift position)
Ability to perform all work in compliance within OSHA and NEC rules and regulations
Ability to work under changing conditions and under time pressure
Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
Ability to learn maintain, troubleshoot & repair computerized numerical control (CNC) and drive systems
Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required
Ability and willingness to be "On-call" on a rotational basis
