Role Summary: GE Power / GGO is pleased to offer selected students the opportunity to join our business for an Internship starting immediately. GE Power's marketing team is seeking a college level intern/temporary worker who is majoring in engineering, marketing, business or a related field for our marketing department. The position will report to GE Power Africa general manager and will support the local team on internal and external marketing projects and strategies.
Marketing support for market segmentation, country and region assessments, market intelligence, value proposition development, customer profiles, scenario planning and regulatory/policy updates.
Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint
Conduct research and assist the marketing team with market deep dives on new spaces, competition or customers
Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
Highly detail focused
Solid interpersonal skills
Ability to work across many functions, geographies, time zones and business units
Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Masters program in Engineering, Marketing, or Business
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Outstanding MS Excel skills
Hold the appropriate entitlement to work in USA
Knowledge of US energy / electricity industry
Experience with data visualization tools (i.e.Tableau, SpotFire, Qlikview)
Flexible and proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities, and willingness to learn
Students that have demonstrated leadership ability, initiative and autonomy
