At GE Middle River Aircraft Systems, we design and build Nacelles for commercial aircraft applications.

In this role, you will be an integral part of establishing site expertise in designing and integrating Nacelle Engine Build Up (EBU) systems.
In particular you will…
Design and document Engine Build Up (EBU) components including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, fire detection, and anti-ice valve systems
Coordinate with other functions to meet business standards, practices, and procedures as well as product / program requirements
Execute product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity
Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations on events occurring in fleet of fielded hardware
Effectively communicate with the engineering program manager to:
Prepare for technical and program reviews within the organization
Execute plans to achieve technical and program requirements
Develop action plans in response to problems
Participate in technical reviews and adhere to design practices and standards
Create engineering change packages, including part definition and change substantiation
Provide technical inputs to cost out projects and associated reviews
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Engineering position related to the design of hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, electrical, and / or fire detection systems
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
Experience designing components of gas turbine engines, especially jet engines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
