The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Role Summary: The Chief Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the overall Information Technology (IT) technical strategy and execution for GE Water & Process Technologies. The role will drive strategy as it relates to support of applications, platform technologies, and operations. In conjunction with company partners, the leader will establish the technical vision and lead all aspects of infrastructure development, including strategic direction and future growth.
You will report to the Chief Information & Digital Officer and will have dotted-line reporting to the Corporate Chief Technology Officer (CTO) organization. You will be a professional who is self-motivated and driven to accomplish company initiatives.
As the Chief Enterprise Architect, you will:
Participate as a member of the IT senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control ensuring that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately, and technological resources are used responsibly
Set up IT guidelines for global IT infrastructure which involves network, computers, peripheral devices, telecommunications, servers, internet / intranet and data centers
Assist in the development and execution of a business-wide cybersecurity program that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s information and systems meeting regulatory, governmental, partner, and business expectations
Develop, track, and control annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations
Ensure that the company’s technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner
Identify technology trends that may support or impede the success of the business
Build a new infrastructure team through the supervision of recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all technology related staff
Manage vetting and procurement of all technology related outsourced services
Establish Information Technology standards of performance and monitor conformance for staff (through performance reviews) and vendors (through service level agreements and ongoing due diligence)
Establish and foster a mature IT team culture via a policy driven approach with documented and repeatable processes, reward for innovative and repeated success, and a team approach to new initiatives and issue resolution
Collaborate with Corporate and other business units to build, enhance, and communicate technology strategy to partners, staff, and other stakeholders as necessary
Work to drive technology goals for the company’s key systems and ensure effective and collaborative processes
Manage and drive the businesses’ cloud strategy
Manage and execute periodic data redundancy and technology disaster preparedness policies
Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of strong IT experience and leadership
Proven experience leading technical organizations and large global technical IT programs
Experience managing and directing technical product vendors, Service Level Agreements, and operations
Experience managing cloud services, vendors and solutions
Experience managing technical operating technical capital budgets
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Strong communication skills
Strategic thinker and change agent
Ability to attract, develop and retain, strong talent
International Acquisition and Divestiture experience
Demonstrated ability to excel in a global matrix organization
Ability to learn complex systems, processes and define requirements for solutions
Deep understanding of IT technologies and how to apply them
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
Capable of driving productivity, initiatives or direction to increase efficiency / profitability
Ability to lead and influence both technical and business resources
