As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing and to work in scrum teams to develop/ test and deliver features on variety of products for the business. you are expected to grasp the domain aspects and deliver products to customer satisfaction.

Your Day at GE:
As the Staff Software Engineer you provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of varying degree of complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
. Accountable to functional business for project objectives
. Work with NPI teams to develop engineering solutions that meet near term and long term product solutions
. Provide technical consulting for technical problems
. Provide technical leadership on projects
. Drive technical advancement for own technical specialty
. Support other GE businesses with technical expertise
. Drive invention disclosures to protect intellectual property to create competitive advantage
. Software development and maintenance of components, systems and their networks
. Analyze user needs to design and code
. Program (in C, C++, C#, .net, WCF, WPF, Java, etc.) all applications, components and interfaces
. Work closely with the business unit to ensure application development meets product specification requirements
. Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors to ensure inter-operability and reuse
. Design, implement and test software, ensuring quality specifications are met.
. Participate actively in design and code reviews
. Drive performance and reliability enhancements
. Close interaction with customers to drive requirements and customer satisfaction
. BE/BTech/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science from reputed Institutes.
. Total experience of 10+ years working hands on C#.Net technologies
. Minimum 2+ years of experience in C++
. Minimum 5+ years of experience in WPF
. Additional experience with code-writing in a variety of programming languages
. Knowledge of Microsoft TFS (Team Foundation Server)
. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
. Knowledge of Non Destructive Testing (VT(Visual), RT(X-Ray), UT(Ultrasound) and ET(Eddy Current))
. Experience in software product development in Agile (SCRUM)
. Strong interpersonal skillset, including good written and verbal technical communication skills
