Role Summary: The Sr Director - Cyber Security will utilize leadership & cyber security expertise to help GE protect its global brand, products, customers & business partners. He/she is responsible for leading a global team across US, Budapest & Singapore to deliver 24x7 threat detection, monitoring & incident response as a part of the GE Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT). He/she will contribute to the strategic decision making related to enterprise, cloud, partner & product security strategies.
Continue to develop the strategy for GE security solutions globally to ensure the team is delivering on business risk outcomes
Establish and maintain strong relationships across all GE businesses and key leadership
Be accountable for operational excellence of program delivery, with duties including; project reviews, feasibility, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, initiation, execution, and closure for all project work related to IT Security & Governance programs
Lead a high functioning team dedicated to finding and responding to cyber intrusions globally driving consistent high quality execution
Provide executive level leadership during security incidents to include acting as incident commander when required to ensure calm, effective approach to investigation of potential breaches and ensuring investigations and mitigation activities are occurring
Prepare and present project plans, status reports, cost / benefit studies, and recommend funding and resources
Leadership role responsible for the selection, development, coaching, performance management and compensation administration of a staff of service technicians and engineers
Understand and adhere to the regulatory and compliance requirements that impact either current business operations or potential client engagements
Anticipate trends, situations, or changing market conditions and take appropriate action on a timely basis.
Think in an innovative and creative way to assist in the growth of our business by providing timely and flexible security solutions
Partner with stakeholders and executive leaders to enhance and deliver effective and efficient services to protect the global brand.
Coach, mentor, lead and provide career guidance and development for a large group of digital technology professionals.
Leverage domain expertise to identify gaps within the people, process, or technology landscape and drive programs to fill gaps in a cost-effective manner.
Drive programs and projects to continuously improve incident detection and response capabilities.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications
A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a STEM related field. In lieu of degree, 8 years of equivalent experience in IT is required
A minimum of 10 years of Cyber security experience
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in people management
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a director role (managing managers)
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
Security related certifications (i.e. CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, CSSLP)
Experience with security in cloud environments/technologies (e.g. AWS, Cloud Foundry)
Experience supporting and leading Agile/DevOps teams
Experience managing vendors and contracts Experience developing, managing and executing project plans
Influencing and negotiation skills Excellent communication and presentations skills
Experience with product security/ PSIRTS Experience with managing, leading or support Red teams
