Role Summary: Performs two or more quality inspections to ensure maintenance of engineering requirements for tolerances, capacities, and product performance; utilizes a variety of measuring tools in completing assigned steps.
In addition you will :
Follows written procedures and directions to perform the required quality checks, utilizing a variety of inspection equipment, gauging devices, and test sets
Alerts supervision and enters a nonconformance in TIPQA when unusual or frequent defects are discovered in the product
Reads blueprints, and uses all measuring devices for dimensional requirements, and makes out all proper records and documents
Inspects electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, circuit cards, modules, and / or components for correct assembly, value, forming, and position, etc. as established by drawing, schematic, parts lists, work standards, and / or other predetermined criteria
Performs First Article Inspection (FAI) on intermediate components / parts
Accepts or rejects units in accordance with established work standards (IPCs)
Provides training and mentoring for other employees
Sorts products according to defects and maintains records of products tested
Utilizes Oracle MRP system for transactions
Performs other routine inspections, within fairly similar situations resulting in standardized but not identical outcomes
Utilizes written or visual instructions involving use of quantitative information from specifications, graphs, pictures, blueprints, dials, gauges, etc.
Provides written and / or oral communications concerning a variety of situations
Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner
Understands and complies with all Company, safety rules and regulations
Engages and participates in a self-directed teaming environment
Qualifications / Requirements :
Education / Experience :
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years of Manufacturing experience
Must be proficient in two or more areas on the inspection skills matrix (internal qualification)
Basic computer skills
Skills required in maintaining close tolerances
Inspection of complex assembly or tools & gauges
Advanced blueprint / specification reading and interpretation
Ability to operate a variety of complex measuring machines and equipment
Skills required in simple mathematical concepts
Should possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :
IPC-A-610 Certification & Preliminary Review (PR) Certification (must achieve both within first 6 months)
