The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. Water & Process Technologies seeks a strong candidate to work with Project Management teams to ensure project equipment delivery schedules are met. Working with global supply chain, manufacturing logistics, sourcing, PSI & the Logistics COE, you will be required to develop and execute a project logistics plan that meets contract & budgetary requirements. This is a fast paced job with many variables- you will be constantly reviewing & working with the team to ensure all project needs are met.
Manage & Control a cost effective Logistics Budget from ITO (Inquiry to Order) to OTR (Order to Remittance), looking for margin enhancement and opportunities.
Act as Single Point of Contact for Project Management in Canada (Guelph) for all logistics activities and as a direct Point of Contact for customer (if necessary).
Develop a delivery strategy/plan for project shipments and execute in rigorous and timely manner.
Make ready all the documents used to support the Projects shipment execution (i.e. Packing List, Shipping Invoice, CMR, Bill of Lading, FCR, NAFTA, COO ecc.)
Consolidation planning and cost-minimization when sourcing from multiple GE and Non-GE vendors (drop shipments management).
Establish transport mode requirements with a keen eye to the most effective solution (i.e. number and type of containers, Flat Rack, Trucks, Curriers, Trains, ecc.).
Develop the existing partnership with the current approved freight forwarders and custom agents, supporting and promoting the selection process in case of new ones.
Work with cross-functional teams (PM, Production, Customer Service, Logistic, Sourcing) to ensure planning and execution of logistics that supports the on-time delivery (OTD) at lowest cost.
Monitor and ensure compliance of transport mode specialists with customer requirements and contract deliverables.
Maintain a weekly report with all the major information re the Logistic activities of the ES assigned jobs (number of shipments, ETD and ETA, budget vs current cost, risk & opp, ecc..)
Support and coordinate the Export/Import activities in case of multi-poles shipments (inbound or outbound), in collaboration with the Classification and Custom Team.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
3+ year logistics experience. Experience in Project Logistics Management is a plus.
International Trade experience (incoterms, customs regulations, …) is welcoming.
Ability to work independently and take the right decisions.
Cross functional team worker driving for execution and successful completion
SAP-PS knowledge is a plus.
