Role Summary: As a Senior technology leader on DCAR Global R&D staff, you will provide thought & technical leadership to support the delivery of digital projects within the Diagnostic Cardiology Business. You will be responsible for providing architecture guidance consistent with the overall technology strategies and act as a key advisor to global leaders in guiding the strategic direction of micro-apps, micro-services, technical architecture, operations and support.
Essential Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities: • Work closely with global software teams across multiple product development programs, leading design and enabling delivery of cloud solutions within the DCAR business. • Drive the architecture, design, provide vision and develop a technical roadmap and implementation plan leveraging cloud design best practices across multi-generational product releases. • Leverage proven experience in cloud design to deliver innovative, highly scalable and reliable SaaS & PaaS solutions that leverage the cloud capabilities to drive down total cost of ownership. • Align architecture and design with GE Health Cloud platform direction and collaborate with other internal global GE teams and experts to create a business ecosystem and propose technology designs, standards, and solutions with high impact to business and/or its customers. Drive design to ensure that highest levels of cyber security are achieved. • Partner with digital leaders and technology leaders across segments within the Clinical Care Solutions business to articulate our digital strategy and direction to the market, including giving presentations to partners, customers and prospects. • Work closely with teams across DCAR segments to drive solutions that meet external customer, market demands, establish and validate technology and cloud platform requirements. • Work closely with the members of CCS digital team including analytics and service leaders to create right technology and drive execution of the same • Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical teammates. Teach and mentor others to develop their technical expertise. • Aware of and complies with the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) • 15 years of progressive technical leadership experience across industries.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen • Must be willing to travel 20% of time
Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise: • Experience in working with Micro services, SOA, Big Data systems, Cloud Technologies, DevOps etc. • Experience with medical devices, Healthcare IT interoperability, HL7 and healthcare standards. • Expert knowledge of security/privacy control, elasticity, scalability, high availability, concurrency, online diagnoses, deployment, upgrade/migration, internationalization, production support and other SaaS enterprise software issues. • Participates in enterprise/cloud strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development. • Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements at domain level, aligning architectural requirements with software development strategy. • Strong knowledge in systems stacks and developing middleware with a preference for real-time experience in a network-connected device settings.
• Clinical domain understanding of cardiology care pathways • Create, analyze and manage projects that provide direct business benefit; demonstrate detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction, including merger & acquisition opportunities; understand industry trends and competitive landscape and the implications for your GE business; partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.
