Role Summary:
The Cell Leader reports directly to the Service Center Manager and is responsible for Fulfilment-5 execution within the shop with overall operational accountability within this area. This position is responsible for the project execution of all jobs at the site and those which require field services at customer site. In addition, this position is responsible for the materials & planning as well as order management within the Service Center.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Provide total shop leadership with respect to EHS, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and Compliance
  • Manage inventory to optimize cash flow while ensuring adequate quantities to support execution through leadership of warehousing & logistic activities
  • Ensure an open reporting culture from the grass roots level upwards
  • Ensure clear communication of key customer/business priorities to employees
  • Execution of operating plan for current year
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
  • Coach and develop employees to support their performance Development
  • Lead shop to achieve goals in asset utilization and process improvement
  • Continuously improve/simplify the shop operating rhythm to meet F5 goals
  • Blueprint planning for the shop for CY+1
  • Maintenance of data integrity in ERP System (SAP) in relation to status, critical dates, availability/assignment of project materials
  • Track & trend key metrics of the site illustrating site performance
  • Support customer meetings when required
  • Lead initiatives outside area of direct responsibility
  • Coach & mentor employees outside of responsible shop when needed
  • Champion LeanSixSigma, Simplification and Fastworks within shop culture
  • Owns job cost review/pacing rhythm to support production and drive accountability to execute relative to as-quoted costs
  • Ensure accurate & timely updates to Optimization & other key stakeholders
  • Ensure coordination of projects spanning multiple production

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Engineering bachelor’s Degree or suitable practical experience
    • Fluent in English/Spanish
    • Project management experience/qualifications
    • Inclusive leadership & communication skills
    • Must be a team player willing to sacrifice individual goals when needed
    • Knowledge of Lean and/or alternative continuous improvement methods
    • Demonstrated ability to self-direct within defined responsibilities
    • Knowledge of rotatives machines repairs
    • EU Work Permit

    Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

    Desired Characteristics:


    • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
    • Experience dealing with customers and commercial activity
    • Experience with forecasting, budgeting and planning
