Role Summary:
GE Interns are our future leaders. Its how we get to know you and how you get to know us. At GE, you'll do real work with real business leaders in an atmosphere that will challenge you and support your development.

Essential Responsibilities:

Over your 12 month internship you'll work in an IT business environment gaining invaluable skills and experience. The opportunities you can apply to include:

Business - can include project management, business intelligence/reporting, IT infrastructure to implementation activities and IT compliance.

Technical – can include application/web development, security/controllership, defining business requirements for a new tool, supporting the implementation of a new system and providing technical support/engaging with end users.

You will be guided by structured goals & objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other interns across the UK.

• Our internships will start between mid-June to August 2017 for a duration of 12 months.

We are currently advertising multiple
internship opportunities within the UK, including:
Aberdeen
(Scotland), Cardiff (Wales), Cheltenham
(closest to Birmingham ) ,
Cramlington (closest to Newcastle), Hamble (closest to Southampton) and Livingston (Scotland).



Roles in other locations may become
available in the near future, and if you are flexible in terms of location, you
are still encouraged to apply!

• Please note that if your skills or experience could be suitable for other internship opportunities we will also consider you for these without you needing to submit a further application.

• The closing date for applications is the 28th February 2017. However we review all applications on a rolling basis and therefore advise you to apply as soon as possible. We will close our vacancies to new applicants once the requirements have been filled.

• We are able to offer internships across all GE businesses and as such, our Internship Recruitment Team will provide further information on available industries and locations during the hiring process.



Qualifications/Requirements:

• Currently studying towards an Information Technology/Computer Science related degree – penultimate/final year
• Analytical
• Problem solver
• Clear communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work as part of a team
