Role Summary: Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is an intensive program for those who have a passion for technology, technical excellence and share in GE’s values. It will accelerate participants’ professional development through intense technical training and business-critical assignments. Graduates will have technical and business skills to actively and continually contribute to GE’s future. If you love technology and want a career in engineering, EEDP is for you.
Due to the rotational nature of the Program, the Edison Engineering Development Program is three assignments in related areas. The rotation assignments are intended to provide a broad exposure to the engineering field leading to a successful off Program placement. Program membership also requires continuous education through advanced studies and in-house courses and workshops.
In addition, you will:
Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of areas’ schedules, budget, quality and cost constraints while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness
Demonstrate ability to understand and apply engineering fundamentals in the business environment
Demonstrate analytical/problem solving through number orientation
Collaborate with assignment leader in setting realistic and challenging operation goals
Contribute to their accomplishment Propose new analyses, techniques and methodologies with respect to specific area of responsibility
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college
At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Knowledge of advanced mathematics, including but not exclusively limited to calculus and differential equations

Basic understanding of engineering and / or manufacturing fundamentals

Preference will be given to persons who :
Have prior intern, co-op, or research experience in the Aviation industry, jet engine / propulsion system design, aircraft design or high temperature metals and / or composites : o Have a strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for engineering and technology
Have demonstrated an analytical approach to problem solving
Have demonstrated program / project management skills leading teams; that are adaptable
Have demonstrated a commitment to community involvement
