Role Summary: As a member of the Corporate ERP Solutions IT management team, candidate will play a key role in leading all facets of Information Technology supporting Global Finance/Supply Chain Management. In this role, a candidate should have in-depth technical expertise in Global Finance/Supply Chain systems, processes and tools and excellent business skills, especially in the areas of delivery excellence, design and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) global solutions.
Essential Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced individual with in-depth technical expertise in Financial/Supply Management systems to join our implementation team working on a highly visible multi-generation Oracle Financials implementation program in support of GE's Corporate Strategic Initiatives. In this role s/he will partner with the business and our technical and functional teams to identify simplification and standardization opportunities, gather business requirements, design and implement solutions.
The incumbent will be accountable for delivery excellence of assigned programs/projects, with duties including project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, execution and closure for all work related to the Global Finance/Supply Chain processes and tools.
Key responsibilities are:
Serve as solution delivery expert for the design and implementation of assigned financial application areas including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) global solutions
Lead cross-business and cross-functional programs spanning Global Finance/Corporate Controllers and the Business Units
Work as a Business Partner with finance leaders and users to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
Lead an IT team of employees and contractors that partner with business partners to develop and execute a multi-generation plan for ongoing Global Finance/Supply Chain Initiatives
Manages budget and contracts associated with programs and initiatives. Contributes to the Budget Blueprint process to ensure proper resource allocations
Manages activities of project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the programs and initiatives
Creates and maintains effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization
Coordinates program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, and developing training plans
Maintain up to date knowledge of technology trends and standards and work as a partner to promote their use
Lead in the evaluation and implementation of third party software solutions
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, MIS, Engineering or similar discipline
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Information Technology delivering high impact technology solutions
Demonstrated experience with financial systems and processes; specifically Supply Chain in a light-manufacturing/finished goods context
Demonstrated experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning Application (ERP) implementations and Inventory/Order Management transaction processing and master data management globally
Global implementation excellence using Oracle EBS Release 12 Financials and Supply Chain applications
