Role Summary: As a Sr Staff Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for deep technical engagements with customers/partners on IoT application/solution design aspects with Predix platform, be a trusted technical advisor (to customers, partners, sales, product management, business development, engineering, leadership and other stakeholders), develop reference solutions, develop collaterals (reference architecture, case studies, technical notes, best practices, etc) and evangelize the Predix platform.
Essential Responsibilities: You will also be the face of the Predix platform to customers & partners, manage stakeholders, manage strategic & tactical engagements and play a key role in meeting customer & partner wins.
You will be a strong voice for our customers, bringing technical and business requirements back to our development teams helping ensure solutions meet customer needs.
In this role, you will:
Establish a deep understanding of our customers business and technical needs
Create a “trusted technical advisor” relationship with our customer’s technologists and internal technical teammates
Influence decision making through active partnership with cross-functional teams
Manage strategic business partnerships and relationships through Technical, Financial, Contractual and Relationship management
Interface with CDOs/CTOs and commercial leaders to ensure alignment to sales process and priorities
Establish & lead fast paced environment to deliver high quality solutions and proof of concepts
Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE leadership. Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
Develop solution architecture framework to support solution selling on an enterprise & channel level
Provide deep HW/SW technical architecture expertise to ensure proper solution design
Interface with all Pre-Sales Solution Architects globally (and support a community) to train, mentor, guide through new solution architecture framework
Support pre-sales activities including customer engagements and RFx responses
Evangelize GE technology platform in appropriate sales forums to drive demand and continued interest
Shape, drive and be held accountable for delivering significant strategic initiatives across broad scope/platform(s) in liaison with key stakeholders
Provide customer insights and feedback that helps define roadmap
Author customer facing collateral individually or collaboratively across teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development lifecycle (design, architecture, development and deployment), HW/SW technical sales & customer engagement and team leadership
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Significant expertise in developing and selling HW/SW solutions. Including creating and executing propositions and a track record of success
Strong expertise in solution architecture, design, deployment in IoT platforms, standards, protocols
Expertise in IaaS/PaaS (Expertise with RESTful APIs, API Management, SOA, Containers, VMs)
Strong experience in programming languages (such as Java, Python & Go), SOA and middleware
Knowledgeable in regulatory aspects for various domains such as information security & cloud deployments and verticals such as healthcare & critical infrastructure
Professional expertise in developing solutions on Public and Private Clouds
Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction to both technical and non-technical audiences alike across all organizational levels
Technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand
Demonstrated problem solving and creative skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on market and customer trends – go beyond the status quo
Gathers and analyzes data and develops architectural requirements at project level, aligning architectural requirements with software development strategy.
Reviews exceptions and makes recommendations to architectural standards at a domain level.
Develops, motivates and directs staff to create a team environment.
Recommends expenditures based on the size, scope, and cost of hardware and software components. Assists in developing business cases.
Applies values, business strategy, policies, precedent, and experience to make complex decisions with uncertain consequences.
Challenges conventional thinking and traditional ways of operating and invites stakeholders to identify issues and opportunities.
