Role Summary: The Executive Director, Technology Communications will support Digital’s VP & Chief Technology Officer for Predix Platform and VP & GM for Applications. In this newly created and critical role, s/he will develop and drive a robust, strategic and contemporary communications and analyst relations strategy for Digital’s Platform and Applications teams. This role will oversee 1-2 direct reports and partner closely with Digital’s and GE Corporate communication teams.
Develop clear digital and software messaging framework for our technology teams, aligning messaging across all Digital, P&Ls and GE Corporate teams
Serve as strategic communications counselor and advisor to the platform and applications leadership teams
Drive a central strategy around industry analyst engagement in collaboration with product management and product marketing teams
Develop and implement employee and culture communications strategies, aligned with the broader organization
Identify and support high profile speaking opportunities for digital leaders; support digital/software related trade events opportunities; Manage agencies to or outside parties in the delivery where necessary.
Help drive internal awareness for digital capabilities for our software products and technology
Develop content, campaigns and social communities that drive customer and stakeholder engagement.
Utilize existing social media outlets and identify potential digital tools to complement traditional communications
Establish metrics to measure and report on value being delivered
Serve as an educator on software trends, technologies and differentiators to the broader communications organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related fields.
Minimum 10 years of relevant corporate and/or agency media/communications/marketing experience.
Minimum 6 years global and domestic communications experience in leadership roles.
Minimum 5 years’ focus in the software industry.

Creative and clear thinker, with proven ability to generate new ideas, and see/drive change
Metrics driven with understanding of measurement and evaluation in communications
