Role Summary: The role is responsible for designing and implementing the HR strategy to support the GE Digital Global Sales and Ecosystems teams. This is a key strategic role requiring deep partnership with business leadership and functional stakeholders across the various segments of the GE Digital organization including commercial, global regions, global ecosystem, Digital P&Ls.
The HR Director will be the main point of contact for GE Digital client group leaders, providing expertise and guidance in the areas of culture and change management, strategic coaching, organizational design, talent assessment and development, succession planning and performance management. This individual will be critical in developing and executing HR strategy in support of the client’s business objectives, and is a connected partner for business leaders.
Provide overall HR Leadership for the GE Digital business for both sales (direct sales, inside sales, sales strategy, sales enablement) and the partner ecosystem.
Act as a single point of contact for strategic HR decisions (i.e. C&B, O&TD, L&E, TA)
Lead, coach and develop the digital People Partner/ERM team.
Provide HR oversight and facilitation of Sales Incentive Plan in conjunction with Commercial Operations team across both GED and the businesses.
Coordinate relationship with the HR regional colleagues within GE Digital and/or GGO to manage ER/local issues within client group e.g. Works Council interfaces, Local C&B etc.
Partner with HR Digital Commercial colleagues in the businesses to provide seamless client delivery and aligned sales programs.
Coordinate activity across the People Partners/EHRMs to ensure alignment and common service delivery.
Coordinate activity with the DTA/GTA teams to ensure alignment and common service delivery.
Act as HR business partner to digital leaders and their leadership teams to develop & execute the global HR strategies to align structure, culture & talent with business goals
Provide leadership, direction and expertise for the full scope of HR including: performance development, talent/leadership development & succession planning, employee relations, employee compensation, employee engagement, organizational design and change and recruiting and selection
Regularly coach and counsel business partners
Pro-actively partner with the regional digital HR teams to facilitate the implementation of the business “people agenda”
Ensure a dynamic pipeline of talent through rigorous talent development cycle e.g., leadership assessments, coaching and development of employees, candid and timely performance feedback
Work in conjunction with the Digital HR leadership team to support the delivery of key strategic HR projects
Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization; work with operating leaders to ensure successful implementation of change efforts
Proactively managing HR systems to maintain integrity of employee and organizational data
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are gained
7+ years of experience in Human Resources roles
Legal Authorization to work in the U.S is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Advanced degree in Business, HR management or Industrial Relations (such as MBA, MHR/IR, etc.).
Demonstrated experience of increasing HR generalist responsibility (i.e. handling employee relations, compensation, recruiting and performance development) and leadership experience with clear career progression.
Prior experience working in software sales HR support role.
Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with high-level business and operations leaders.
Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Ability to support client groups in multiple locations and open to travel globally.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Prior experience in software sales environment a plus.
Process and detail oriented, including strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements.
Proven project management and team leadership experience.
An impact player with proven ability to drive change in an effective and participative manner.
Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and act on business priorities.
