Role Summary: The Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer – AC/DC Rectifier Design will design innovative power supply products for telecommunications, high-computing, datacenter, and industrial applications and lead the product development process from concept realization through introduction of product into high volume production. These projects will include New Product Introduction, Direct Material Productivity, resolving customer issues, and sustaining of existing products.
Essential Responsibilities: This is a challenging position that calls for strong academic, practical, and leadership skills. The design and development process includes design analysis, electrical modeling & simulations, magnetics configuration, design and optimization, schematic / BOM generation, PWB layout with emphasis in high density with applied HF noise and EMI reduction techniques, DFM, prototype development, electrical characterization, validations, qualification, safety / REL certifications, delivery of product to successful production using high volume manufacturing OEMs, use of statistical and parametric analyses, and creation of new variants of existing topologies to help advance our product offering as one of the industry leaders.
As the Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will:
Demonstrate leadership globally working with the team in Shanghai on design reviews and resolving customer issues
Evaluate customer requirements and selecting appropriate circuits for AC/DC applications (PFC, LLC, etc.)
Design analysis including modeling, simulation, and control loops
Optimize designs with an eye toward efficiency, density, and cost
Conduct magnetics design, configuration, and optimization
Conduct design reviews
Create schematic, bills of material, and PWB layouts
Create high density PWB layout with sophisticated noise and EMI mitigation
Have hands-on lab work building and debugging prototypes
Have electrical characterization, design validation, and qualification
Introduce the product into high-volume production
Provide technical support for production and field product issues
Lead projects and collaborate in cross-functional teams
Mentor junior engineers
Prepare invention disclosures to protect intellectual property
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 7 years of engineering design experience in AC/DC rectifiers

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics
Experience with designing AC/DC power suppliers test and analysis tools and systems
High frequency magnetics design knowledge
