The mission of the corporate communications team is to enable business growth by engaging and influencing stakeholders while protecting and enhancing the reputation, culture and brand of GE. The corporate communications intern will support the day-to-day operations of the team in Japan and will work on various projects including public relations, digital, marketing communications, events and internal communications.
The corporate communications intern’s responsibilities will include:
Monitor GE related media coverage through newspaper, business magazine, digital and social media channels, based on the business needs.
Translate GE’s media coverage and communication collaterals
Learn firsthand how to pitch story to reporters
Support to distribute press release including arrangement appropriate media list
Special project – to be determined with the manager based on both individual interest and business needs at the time
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
Excellent verbal, reading and writing skills in Japanese and English
Quick learner and passion for growing
Strong interpersonal skills with positive energy
Strong team player
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
Compensation: 1,000 JPY per hour and transportation cost included
Dates, Days, Time: Monday - Friday (9:00 – 17:30); Two days per week
Duration: Minimum three months (flexibility around term exams)
Location: Akasaka Park Building, 5-2-20 Akasaka, Minato-ku Tokyo, 107-6114 (Nearest Station: Akasaka Station, Tokyo Metro)
