Role Summary: As a member of the GE Healthcare global strategy team, the Senior Director of Global Strategy will lead and drive strategic initiatives at both the corporate and business unit levels, including but not limited to: developing and implementing strategies to accelerate profitable growth; portfolio management, including capital allocation and linkages to business development; design and execution of strategic planning processes; and the management of strategic partnerships and alliances.
Essential Responsibilities: • Drive problem solving on a broad range of strategy issues, including growth, digital, portfolio management and corporate development. • Execute qualitative and quantitative research and analysis (e.g., forces at work, competitive dynamics, business cases, valuation). • Facilitate horizontal teams from across the business. Collaborate effectively with senior management. • Develop high-impact, well synthesized communications ready for use with senior executives and other internal and external audiences. • Elevate strategy capabilities across GE Healthcare (e.g., refinement of strategic planning processes, design and delivery of a strategy capability building curriculum).
Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory approval of all marketing communications prior to external release
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s Degree business administration, engineering or healthcare premed or healthcare biology 2. 3+ years of prior work experience in healthcare strategy consulting or similar roles 3. Direct and/or indirect leadership experience in a cross-functional or highly matrixed organization 4. Participation in shaping / leading the creation of growth vision and marketing strategy 5. Proven stellar oral and written communications skills 6. Demonstrated analytical and process skills 7. Willingness to travel, including international, 40% of the time
Desired Characteristics: Prior work experience in healthcare (medical technology, biopharmaceuticals and healthcare provider experience strongly preferred). Strong structured problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, influencing and leading in the absence of formal authority. Willingness to travel, including international. Role will be based in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
