Role Summary: As our new Staff Digital Product Manager (“Product Owner”), you will report to the Senior Director of Product Manager for Operations Optimization Solutions and be responsible for supporting efforts to turn the overall Power Digital software growth playbook into a well-defined strategy and product plan for Power. As a lead PO for this solution segment, you will elevate how we engage with the Power and enhance our Plant Optimization offering.
Essential Responsibilities: You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of capabilities from GE Digital, making recommendations on extending the Predix platform, and representing GE Power to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.
As our new PO, you will also:
- Contribute to overall Power Digital portfolio and product strategy
- Define, enhance, and improve our Power Optimization solution, within the Operations Optimization Category, to deliver additional Performance, Flexibility, Capability, and Availability to our customers across all fuel sources.
- Develop, in collaboration with Customers, SMEs, and Business Analysts, the User Stories necessary to build the Best-in-Class Plant Performance Solution.
- Leverage overall Power Digital portfolio and product strategy to create a detailed product plan for Plant Optimization - balancing internal productivity and customer facing applications.
- Work with all areas of the product management and software development lifecycle to deliver differentiated products. This position will strategically work to define and develop business plans, financial projections, and product positioning.
- Responsible for implementing the full product development lifecycle process, including facilitating business planning, strategic partnerships, collateral, and strategic prospects.
- Manage and expand the relationship between the GE Digital and GE including partnering with GE Power business CTOs and CMOs.
- Responsible for working with business to develop go-to-market plans for GE Digital solutions
- Make recommendations on tools and processes required to aggressively drive our products forward relative to both new and existing products and services through enhancements, research, pricing, voice of the customer, analysis, and reporting.
- Work across Power Digital , and GE Digital to develop detailed analysis of industry and market trends, customer needs, competitors, economic environment, and business opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage within the industry.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and managing software within an Agile environment - promoting iterative and incremental software development techniques
- Minimum 5 years of total work experience
- GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
Eligibility Requirements:
Desired Characteristics: - Master Degree in either Computer Science or Business Administration
- Firm understanding of utility power generation across different fuel sources
- Demonstrate knowledge on utility commercialization market excellence
- Prior experience as a consultant, product manager, or solution manager for asset management solutions
- Highly collaborative with effective teaming and problem solving abilities
- Outcome driven - highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to managing through ambiguity
- Executive presence - strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
