Role Summary: The Composites Technical Track program focuses on developing and positioning future technical leaders through a series of customized rotational assignments in an array of core technical competencies surrounding ceramic and polymer matrix composite products. This opportunity will be located at one of the locations within the Composites organization.
Essential Responsibilities: • Lead scheduling, track material availability, and advise on material usage, as required • Design / implement manufacturing processes and systems for control / replenishment of materials • Build positive relationships to improve customer experiences • Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product development and current product support • Provide and support manufacturing method development and improvement for current and new products in compliance with EHS guidelines • Investigate and apply new technology • Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems • Provide guidance and recommend solutions to positively impact business results • Conduct training and process planning as needed • Evaluate operating methods, select controls, and specify appropriate tools, fixtures, and gauges to meet business deliverables
Bachelor's Degree in Materials / Ceramics / Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall
Ability and willingness to relocate multiple times throughout the program based on business need, availability of assignment opportunities, and individual talent assessments. Potential assignment locations include Newark, DE, Asheville, NC, Batesville, MS, Baltimore, MD, Cincinnati, OH, Sterling, VA, San Marcos, TX and Huntsville, AL.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
