Role Summary:
The IT Site Leader for Avio Aero in Bielsko-Biała Shop is responsible to define and lead a strategy for IT systems. Such strategy - while ensuring business performance on shops' commitment - has to improve current applications landscape introducing elements of modernization and innovation. The Digital path toward a Brilliant Factory for Bielsko-Biała is part of the Site Leader's responsibilities. All the activities have to be performed seeking for synergy and alignment with the other sites.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work as the single focal point at site for all IT related matters. Act as the IT member of the Site Leadership team;
  • Demonstrate accountability for site, business, and company objectives;
  • Engage with site leadership on non-IT efforts that impact effectiveness of the site. Participate in local extra curricular activities;
  • Advocate for site priorities with IT HQ and advocate on behalf of IT for strategic IT efforts that affect the sites. Including SII planning and yearly planning;
  • Review progress of his/her on-going efforts (IT and non-IT) with site leadership (at minimum quarterly);
  • Partner with site leaders and users to evaluate / improve business processes utilizing IT solutions. Develop key business process knowledge and apply to these efforts;
  • Develop long term site IT strategy (GPB). Incorporate site business needs, IT application direction, and CoreTech/Infra direction. Convey this and get buy-in from site leadership team;
  • Work operations issues till those items are fully resolved and there is a control established;
  • Site focal point for planned and unplanned outage communication and coordination. Site focal for all change mgt/upgrade;
  • Act as the site liaison with CoreTech. Proactively engage with CoreTech to ensure proper support of the site;
  • Establish an operating rhythm around Help Desk related items;
  • Drive IT efforts around Risk Management and develop/update Business Continuity Plan for the site;
  • Be responsible for project initiation and completion within the site by directing activities of others as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities;
  • Manage all budgets associated with local project deployment;
  • Serve as a site leader for global IT implementations at local site;
  • Coordinate the activities of all IT resources at the site. Be aware of the status of those activities;
  • Ensure IT personnel are working priority items;
  • Coaching/mentoring/managing resources at the site;
  • Actively participate on the Shop Operations team. Engage on the regular calls and be a resource for other Shop IT leaders. Leverage other Shop IT leaders when developing local plans;
  • Active member or leader of a global initiative team. (example: Win 10 deployment, Sophos to McAfee, etc.);
  • Participate in global extra curricular aligned with interests or development needs (e.g.. Team building, SII, etc.);
  • Work with site Finance manager to develop annual site IT budget during S2;
  • Proactively manage the Site IT Budget. This includes both costs that are centrally billed as well as costs that are billed directly to the site.


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering;
  • Strong experience with current information technologies and their implementation into the business function;
  • Knowledge of ERP applications with additional hands-on experience;
  • Able to use Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change;
  • Very good English skills
  • Significant experience with current information technologies and their implementation into the business function
  • Knowledge of Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) applications and Business Process Management (BPM) systems would be a strong advantage

  • Proven leadership skill in both business planning and information technology;
  • Capable and influential at project management;
  • Quality and cost driven;
  • Preferably experienced in CAP (Change Acceleration Process)
