Role Summary:
Post Sales Service Engineer,will act as the primary customer, field service and sales contact to own, contain, and resolve post shipment customer issues.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Post Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Work closely with customers to develop resolution plans, monitor progress, and ensure appropriate closure
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution support via phone and web
  • Interact with technology, supply chain, product management, quality, sales, requisition engineering, quotations, materials and field service to provide technical and commercial solutions for customers
  • Work cross functionally with global teams
  • Document customer cases and actions using case tracking tools
  • Work in the West Burlington Iowa plant / office



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in electrical equipment design, manufacturing or testing)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical equipment design, manufacturing or testing



Desired Characteristics:
  • Electrical distribution equipment experience, low or Medium voltage
  • Experience with Low and Medium Voltage Paralleling switch gear design, manufacturing, application or operation
  • Experience with PLC logic and programming
  • Experience with control relay applications, programming and communications
  • Familiarity with MODBUS, PROFINET, BACNET and IEC 61850 (GOOSE) communication protocols
  • Experience with SAP and or Sales Force.com
  • Experience in Switchgear manufacturing and testing processes
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and working well with others across business functions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Independent worker with strong leadership and customer focus
  • Demonstrated verbal and written Communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Access
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
