Role Summary:
Deep techno-functional expert who is responsible for the overall design, documentation, maintenance and integration of the available technology environment/frameworks within the Finance IT Data Lake team. You will be responsible for leading SAP ERP data ingestion initiatives for logistics related modules into the Data Lake platform for Finance IT.

Essential Responsibilities:
The candidate should have related expertise with requirements gathering, data analysis and modeling with an emphasis on SD, MM, PP and its integration with other main Financial modules like AP , AR and GL.
  • Act as technical expert on the wing-to-wing Logistics processes, including expertise in Supply Chain, Order Management, PL/SQL, Extensible Markup Language (XML) ,ABAP
  • Develop and maintain an integrated data architecture spanning the relational and Big Data landscape, representing the multitude of GE Logistics IT functional areas and key business processes
  • Manage the migration of solutions through development, stage and production environments
  • Identify critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback
  • Manage daily activities, issue resolution and communication across project execution teams in order to deliver projects on-time, on-budget, as-requested by customer
  • Maintain peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, technical, vendor etc.) to lead effective troubleshooting, root cause analysis, Service Request interactions, patch assessment, patch scanning, request patch application, verification and re testing
  • Maintain peer relationships across IT and functional areas (infrastructure, operations, technical, vendor, PMO, businesses, etc.) to lead global projects, support Finance Data Lake platform, including effective troubleshooting, root cause analysis and creation of effective solutions
  • Engage with GE Business customers to gather ingestion and reporting requirements, profile data, map data from ERPs to the Data Lake models and provide innovative solutions for reporting and Data-as-a-Service initiatives



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field, OR equivalent relevant IT work experience
  • Strong experience with ABAP and different interface layers like PI
  • Proven experience with SAP workflows, interface file processing techniques, SQL Loader, coding techniques, triggers, stored procedures and data archiving
  • Strong Technical Project Management experience
  • Experience in developing and debugging PL / SQL and SQL queries with good understanding of table structure and ability to create ad hoc queries




Desired Characteristics:
Functional & Technical knowledge of SRM, Purchasing and other Logistics process, preferably its integration to FICO modules
SAP Configuration and Data conversion experience
Prior exposure to Big Data / Hadoop, RDBMS, Data Warehousing, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Integration
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
Strong team player collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Demonstrated customer focus valuates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint Strong analytical skills strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
Change oriented actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
