Role Summary:
The Lead Regional CapEx Sourcing Specialist, Asia is responsible for the development and execution of the sourcing strategy for capital expenditures in support of GE Grid Solutions, a tier 2 business of GE Energy Connections. This will require working directly with GE Energy Connections stakeholders including Supply Chain, Projects and Finance, as well as with Global Operations Sourcing.

Essential Responsibilities:
Full scope of sourcing for capital expenditure on major projects (machines, equipment...) to secure total quality and increase industrial value.
Develop and execute a sustainable long term set of global strategies to align with business plans and objectives within the CapEx spend portfolio across GE Grid Solutions.
Manage and maintain a supplier panel available for any CapEx project all around the world, and support any non-SOC project with SOC suppliers.
Negotiate from RFI stage to final contract draft / pre-ordering stage. Ensure that business-specific CapEx methodology and processes are followed, including GE’s Integrity policy.
Launch RFI's, sourcing marketing to challenge existing suppliers while securing total quality.
Support CapEx outside your core region by offering low cost equipment alternatives into Grid capex strategy. Be the contact for units, propose solutions, guarantee QCD.
Deliver results by leading project teams using sound project management principles, including forming a core/extended project team, developing operating rhythms with team members and stakeholders, and developing, managing and completing projects on time and in scope.
Support the development of relevant operating business plans, and ensure in monthly/quarterly closings that guidelines were followed.
Demonstrate expertise developing strong market acumen, including existing and emerging technology expected to impact the relevant capital equipment and machinery marketplace in the short and long terms.
Manage / actively support tactical execution of projects, escalations due to delivery / quality issues, invoicing / payables issues, database management, improve payment terms, assist internal customers with SOW (Statement of Work) development through to PO execution (as necessary).

Qualifications/Requirements:
A successful candidate will be an experienced category manager able to provide a key contribution to our Business Indirect Sourcing Team, and will have a proven track record of success in leading a regional or global spend portfolio within a global procurement organization, and will be able to implement best practices in areas such as cost management and supplier relationship management.

Fully bilingual (English).
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in Sourcing for large industrial products, or equivalent acumen in Project Management, Supply Chain or Finance.
Strong financial, quantitative and data analysis skills.
Able to successfully lead and work with others in a matrix-aligned, remotely-led, multi-country and multi time-zone organization.
Demonstrated track record of negotiation abilities in a sourcing/procurement context.
Ability to handle a heavy workload, multiple & changing priorities, and constant deadline demands

6-Sigma training.
GE leadership program graduate.
APICS certification.
Previous M&A or business integration experience.
