Role Summary: The CoreTech Technology Internship program offers those with a passion for digital technology an opportunity to become leading experts on digital infrastructure services. You will gain hands on experience by implementing the compute, network and software backbone of our next generations of infrastructure services.
Essential Responsibilities: Program Highlights:
The internship assignment will last 12 weeks, with significant hands-on technology implementation
Opportunity to directly contribute to projects that will have lasting impact to GE business alongside industry experts.
Possible assignments may include: Application development, Data center operations, network and compute engineering.
Learn GE digital infrastructure and provide external perspectives and recommendations
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in CIS, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, ITM, Informatics, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, MIS, Security and Risk Analysis or relevant STEM majors with experience in Software or IT experience or a minimum of 4 years of experience in the same areas.
Minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is requires. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
Must be willing to work out of an office in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in software, IT or relevant area.
Basic scripting and automation skills such as Power Shell and Chef
Basic understanding architecting/monitoring of datacenter infrastructure.
Up-to date with the latest trend in Digital Technology in both consumer and industrial space
