Role Summary: The Sr Software Engineer is a critical role within the Global Operations B2P IT Team. The individual will work as part of a team to deliver solid and tested solutions for GE's AP Process automation goals, reducing cost and increasing Paid on Time metrics across the entire Enterprise. This is a very exciting, fast paced and engaging role, delivering state-of-the art Enterprise Software solutions with exposure and integration to multi-platform ERP systems.
Development using the various products and APIs within the Global Ops AP Automation product suite.
Follow development best practices as defined by the Global Ops AP Automation team.
Contribute and share information to the knowledge base.
Participate in solution review and requirements confirmation meetings with the Software Architects and/or Project Manager prior to starting development.
Inform the Software Architect and Project Manager of any inconsistencies or gaps in solution requirements.
Support the team with troubleshooting activities and break-fix resolution during onsite and remote implementations.
Communicate with other developers on technical details as needed.
Achieve and continually expand a working knowledge of the Global Ops AP Automation product suite.
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Programmer/Software Developer

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Van Buren Township, Michigan
Strong knowledge of AP Process within and Enterprise environment.
Experience working and integration with Oracle EBS and SAP ERP.
Experience using source versioning software (SVN).
Agile and Waterfall development experience.
Experience using Cognos Business Intelligence is a plus.
Strong experience in object oriented design and development including highly flexible development life cycle.
Experience with ODBC, SQL and relational database management systems such as SQL Server or Oracle.
Experience developing with SOAP and/or REST based web services.
