Role Summary: Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GEHC product development, specifically the CT new product development. As a verification tester you will examine, validate and test a complex system. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: writing and running of verification tests, identifying and troubleshooting errors, and reporting/documenting results of tests and measures.
Essential Responsibilities: • Understand design requirements and translate into test cases and scenarios • Development of manual and automated test scripts, test data and when applicable tools and fixtures • Accurately record results in Quality and Defect management tools • Recommendations for test strategy and test approach improvements. • Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution. Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions • Perform software and hardware evaluation and implement plans using knowledge of product, system operation, intermodule interactions, engineering tools, and interactive software tools as required • Utilize basic technical communications throughout the new product cycle to improve internal models and/or externally sourced components in terms of system performance, reliability, functionality, and serviceability • Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals • May travel to customer sites to assist in system level installations, problem resolution and diagnostics as required • General direction is given in the execution of job related activities • Comply with EHS regulations and policies
Qualifications/Requirements: • Associates Degree in electronics technology, biomedical technology, computer science or related technical discipline • Hands-on experience with computerized equipment test development • Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process • Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work independently with general direction and information • Flexibility to work 1st or 2nd shift and weekends as needed
Desired Characteristics: • Hands-on experience with Computed Tomography products & programs • Quality control experience • Coding Automation skills (Matlab, Java, Python) • Proficient in a Unix/Linux environment
