Role Summary:
In the role of Control Solutions Sales Manager you will:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own the Control Solutions sales operating plan while meeting quarterly and annual orders commitments, along with other sales metrics such as revenue, cash and convertible orders
  • Possess strong background on turbine, excitation and DCS control systems
  • Proactive approach to sales, driving aggressive growth targets and address volume, and timing
  • Develop sales strategies, marketing campaign plans, conduct sales presentations and generate new opportunities
  • Develop consultant’s awareness and knowledge on key technologies and work with them on FEED specifications
  • Build customer relationships at different levels for Business development and Sales
  • Drive cross-functional coordination with Commercial Operations, Services, Engineering and Project Management teams
  • Manage the sales proposal process from opportunity identification through project kickoff
  • Lead deal structuring, pricing and all other proposal development activities as the sales team's primary proposal customer interface
  • Lead deal strategy development and reviews, ultimately obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing, delivery and other commercial terms for specific sales proposals
  • Assist sales directors and regional general managers in identifying new opportunities and creating sales analysis for the assigned sales region
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base
  • Work with Marketing to develop new products and services for business growth
  • Lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma projects to improve the sales proposal process
  • Demonstrate commercial and technical expertise in specific market and lead opportunity planning
  • Own regional future planning and forecasting for the specified region

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Generation and/or Oil & Gas industries
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales or Sales Support

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, as required

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Rotating equipment & turbomachinery knowledge
  • Commercial sales experience in closing large and complex contractual agreements
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Proven coordination and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs
  • Able to effectively lead and energize a multi-functional team to meet sales plan
  • Demonstrated ability to apply Six Sigma to improve customer satisfaction
  • High proficiency in utilizing analytical software and sales tools (SFDC, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated

    PLEASE NOTE: Kansas City, MO is the preferred location, however other U.S. locations may be considered.
